What's Going On

Leeza's Place at Olympia Medical Center

The scene was enthusiastic and energetic at the official opening of our Leeza's Place at Olympia Medical Center. Our Leeza Care Advocate there, Yael Wyte and her husband Barry are expecting a baby, so she threatened to steal the show, but before Yael welcomes her little girl into the world, she gave birth to our newest Leeza's Place in the Los Angeles area.

Being on the campus of Olympia Medical Center is a huge advantage for our guests. As CEO/Owner Dr. Shahram F. Ravan, M.D. said, "It completes the circle of care." for his patients by making sure that the caregiver is educated and empowered to get the best outcomes for the diagnosed loved one AND the caregiver.

Our angel in making this a reality is Sheila Moore.a petite powerhouse of a woman who has more passion than the city can hold! She introduced Dr. Jamie Huysman, our fearless executive director, to a group of healthcare pros. Our mantra at Leeza's Place, of course, is "Take Your Oxygen First"! I feel so privileged to meet so many of the professional community leaders involved in Olympia Medical Center because their commitment and enthusiasm was a big boost for all of us.

Thank you to the visionaries at Olympia beginning with Dr. Ravan and John Calderone who had the forward thinking to recognize that this was an important service for their clients and patients. Thank you to Lynn Ingram from Olympia and her team who has been wonderfully supportive, and a personal thanks to Vincent Arcuri who is always ready and willing to do whatever it takes from publicity to pounding nails!

It's always better when our "family members" are there and Stefanie Elkins from Circle of Care Leeza's Place in Sherman Oaks was there along with Miguel Gutierrez and Susan Bredeau. Angela Giacobbe arranged for some wonderful press coverage of our opening, so our story is spreading far and wide. Our Leeza's Place at Olympia Medical Center makes three now in LA...congratulations!
