Complementary Medicine

At Leeza's Place we respect that complementary medicine includes many different techniques for treating a patient. These are based on systems practiced for thousands of years and can be considered the original forms of medicine. They all have one aspect in common - they treat the patient as a whole person rather than treating a specific symptom by treating the life force of the patient at their physical, mental and emotional levels.

"Complementary" means to "complete". Patients are helped back to "wholeness" using physical, mental, emotional, vital force and spiritual dimensions of treatment. This approach remains generally in line with the thinking of Plato.

"Wholeness" means that the physical, mental, emotional are in balance with themselves and the spiritual consciousness known as the soul. The body is, or should be, an expression of the soul. Healing is the natural way in which all imbalances are rectified so that the symptoms of the stress or illness can be controlled. Sometimes our own natural ability to heal ourselves cannot endure and we need the help of others. Drugs may help in the short term but healing happens separately making it important to understand the process so patients can help themselves back to health.

Healing at Leeza's Place is the act of getting rid of all the imbalances and creating harmony with the soul. Consequently, complementary medicine is patient centered. "I am not my body - I live in my body."
