Scrapbooking

If you are new to scrapbooking, you are probably trying to come to grips with how this current trend has swept the country. Leeza Gibbons herself is an avid scrapbooker. It is a wonderful intergenerational way to preserve memories and create healing dialogue through the process.

At Leeza’s Place, the most important aspect of scrapbooking is our need to remember who we are and how we fit into the bigger picture of life. The memories of yesterday and today need to be preserved so they can be relived and enjoyed by both current and future generations.

Today's scrapbooking trend also focuses on journaling. Scrapbook journaling involves documenting the names, dates, places, and comments so that the generations to come won't look at your photographs and ask questions like "who is that?", "where were you?", "you were how old?", and "why is everybody laughing in this picture?".

As a side benefit of the Leeza’s Place scrapbooking experience, many individuals are having the opportunity to express their family creativity. If you are a natural artist, the creativity part will come very easily. Creativity is one of the more enjoyable aspects of scrapbooking but in no way the most important. Preserving photographs and documenting who, what, where, when, and how, is the powerful family experiential effort.
